What
are the Basics?
Choosing a fabric for an acoustic system does not have to be a headache if you
follow some basic guidelines. Choose a fabric that is: - 30% or less hydrophilic
fibers
- Not paper backed
- Opaque
- Upholstery weight
- Class A fire
rated
- Durable and easily maintained
Although it is important to know
some basic guidelines, you can always get more advice from an expert. When specifying
a fabric for a particular acoustic system, it is best to speak with the manufacturer's
representative. They will know which types of fabric work best with their system
and can direct you in your fabric selection. You may also want to seek the advice
of the fabric representative in order to confirm that the fabric will perform
as intended.
